A proxy server is a sort application program that behaves as an intermediate server for serving requests from clients for resources from other servers than the original proxy server. It acts as a middleman computer system. When a client opens a connection to the proxy server, requesting some service on a different service, the proxy server helps in delivering that. The proxy server fulfill the request by evaluating it according to the filtering rules we have set. With the openvpn configuration, applications, files, databases or intranets that used to reside on a separate network across town or across the country can be just a simple click away.
